Office Revolution is a Chicago based commercial furniture dealership representing Teknion as well as over 200 additional furniture lines. Office Revolution has been providing quality furniture and facilities management services both locally and nationally for over nine years. Our relationships in the furnishings manufacturing industry as an authorized dealer of various furnishing manufactures makes our dealership unique not only as a provider of quality furniture and furnishings, but also in our ability to service and maintain the products provided to our customers throughout the country.
The strength of Office Revolution provides extensive value-added services totaling a complete package to meet all of our customer’s requirements for furniture and facilities management services. These services include: design support, project management, relocation management and installation services.
As an authorized dealer we are also able to provide: manufacturer leasing programs, furniture rental, refinishing, cleaning and refurbishing.
Strength in Experience
Our leadership team has an average of 23 years experience in the contract furnishings industry and retains twenty professionals with an average industry experience of 10 years.
We provide complete facility services and offer a wide range of manufacturer’s products to support the unique requirements of our customers.

We achieve this by encouraging volunteerism as well as establishing corporate objectives to reduce our impact on the environment.
Community Involvement
Office Revolution is a Chicago based company that is not only made up of highly skilled professionals but also of people who are aware, understand and are responsive to issues within the community. With so many non profit organizations requesting corporate support, our employees are encouraged to research and identify local causes in which they believe they can make a difference through contributions of their corporate expertise, time and resources. Recognizing that volunteerism can be used as an effective development mechanism, we consider our most successful volunteer efforts those in which our employees have worked as a team pooling their individual talents and resources to benefit others.
In August 2006, our employees became aware of the increased need for school supplies for homeless students in the Chicago Public Schools. Learning that only 3,000 of the 10,500 homeless students in the Chicago Public Schools were receiving donated school supplies for the upcoming school year, we made a decision to reach out to the commercial real estate, design and furniture industries to request support and resources. Within 10 days as a collective industry, we were able to plan and promote an event which allowed us to generate over $14,000 in contributions. With our donations, we were able to provide school supplies for over 950 of Chicago’s neediest students.
In August 2007, we hosted an event which was attended and supported by 360 guests from the commercial real estate, design and furniture industries and raised over $20,000 for the purchase of uniforms for CPS students. Over 2,300 homeless students in the Chicago Public Schools were unable to afford the cost of the $10 uniform so with our industries united support, we were able to work together to raise the money to help these students get off to a better start.
Our employees take pride in their ability to respond quickly and generate results for causes in need of support. They are able to see first hand that what they do in the office and out of the office can be linked together to benefit community needs as well as our customers at the same time.
Office Revolution’s Sustainability Statement
Objective: To empower all employees of Office Revolution to reduce landfill waste and greenhouse emissions by making conscientious decisions in the process of ordering furniture, servicing our clients and living their lives.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Thinking Beyond Our Office:
- Encourage our clients to explore the benefits of re-using their existing furniture rather than buying new, by offering services such as inventory management, refurbishing and reconfiguration.
- Encourage our clients to order furniture from companies practicing sustainable manufacturing processes.
- Request full truckloads of furniture to ship “blanket wrapped” or with “minimal cartoning”.
- Require our installers to recycle all cardboard, paper, skids and any other recyclable packing materials.
EDUCATE
Green Library:
- Information – The Office Revolution Green Library provides books, movies and white papers related to the latest sustainable practices.
- Products – Collection of unique products made from post consumer, rapidly renewable and low impact materials.
- Manufacturer Evaluation – Information regarding our current manufacturers, ie: Locally produced, Greenguard certified products, recyled content.
- Promote Employee Knowledge – Office Revolution will support and pay for the testing of any employee wishing to take the LEED certification exam.

Teknion – an international leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of office systems and related furniture products – has a long-standing commitment to environmental protection.
Teknion’s goal is to protect the environment by ensuring that the environmental aspects of our products and manufacturing processes are controlled and improved through compliance with environmental legislation and regulations, and through implementation of voluntary programs such as ISO 14001.
ISO 14001 specifies requirements for an environmental management system that enables organizations to formulate and implement policies regarding environmental impact.
